About Steady Wheels

Steady Wheels helps people choose the right mobility scooter without overspending or getting steered into the wrong machine. It is written by Diane Foster, a mobility equipment specialist and former occupational therapy assistant who has fitted hundreds of riders.

We are different from most scooter sites in two ways. First, we are independent: we test these scooters, check the specs by hand, and rank by what keeps a rider safe and independent, not by who pays the most. Second, we tell you the honest part, that weight capacity, turning radius and how you will transport a scooter matter more than top speed, and that a scooter you cannot manage gets abandoned.
